Honda Technician Inspecting Undercarriage

Safety recalls are commonplace, affecting every brand, segment, and type of vehicle, but you may still experience momentary worry if you receive a notification. If you’ve heard about a Honda recall for your vehicle, visit Pacific Honda. Our technicians will ensure your safety and get your car back on the road in no time.

What Is a Safety Recall?

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) performs regular tests on vehicles and monitors driver complaints. If a significant and recurring safety issue poses a serious risk to drivers, they will issue a recall. Honda also monitors these metrics and may issue recalls independent of the NHTSA. You should take these seriously regardless of the source.

I Received a Recall. What Should I Do?

Recalls can happen to any vehicle at any time. Just because you have heard about a recall does not mean that your model is affected, however; recalls will apply to specific years, and may even apply only to a trim or two of that model.

When a safety recall is issued, the dealer must offer one of three choices: repair, replacement, or a refund. For either a repair or a replacement, one of our technicians can inspect the vehicle and either fix the issue or replace the component at no cost to you. Refunds may apply to past repairs or the total cost of the car minus depreciation at the OEM’s discretion.
