Previewing the 2024 Honda Civic Hybrid

The Honda lineup already offers plenty of green cars to pick from, but now one of its most iconic vehicles is finally getting electrified. The next Honda Civic will offer a hybrid option, and we’re excited to offer it alongside our other green vehicle options here at Pacific Honda. Here’s what we know about the Honda Civic Hybrid so far.
2023 Release Date
The 2024 Honda Civic is expected to release later this year. The hybrid option will launch alongside the more traditional gasoline-powered model.
Electrified Powertrain
The 2024 Honda Civic will use a powertrain similar to the one in the current Honda Accord Hybrid. This should mean that it will be equipped with a 2.0-liter inline-four engine and two electric motors that work together to produce around 204 horsepower.
Improved Efficiency
While the numbers aren’t available yet, one of the most obvious perks of buying a hybrid is improved fuel economy. The current Honda Civic is already an efficient choice, so a hybrid version will help you save on fuel.
Two Body Styles
The 2024 Honda Civic Hybrid will also offer drivers a choice between two different body styles, just like the current model. Drivers can choose from a stylish sedan or a roomy hatchback.
More Electrified Honda Models
We should also note that this is just another step for the Honda brand as it seeks to electrify its entire lineup by 2040. So expect to see more hybrid models and even all-electric vehicles in the coming years.
