Honda Prelude Concept

One of the best things about the new Honda vehicles at Pacific Honda is that they get better with every passing year. Beyond improving the existing lineup, however, Honda occasionally surprises us with an innovative new model. The upcoming Honda Prelude Hybrid concept car just broke cover, and we can’t wait to see it in our showroom.

It’s Sporty

We don’t have the engine size and capacity specs yet, but if its looks are any indication, the Honda Prelude Hybrid mode is sure to hold its own on the open road. It has a two-door coupe design that hearkens back to the last Honda model to bear the Prelude name. Last produced in 2001, that car was beloved for its agility, so we have high hopes for its namesake.

It’s a Hybrid

When the news first broke about the Honda Prelude, some speculated that it was going to be an all-electric car. An EV may yet come to pass, but in the meantime, this is a hybrid model deriving its power from the engine, battery, and electric motor. The exact specifications remain under wraps, but we have much to look forward to if the Honda Prelude is like our other Honda hybrid models.

There’s No Stick Shift

The Honda Prelude is shaping up to be a sporty and athletic car, and we can’t wait to see how it will perform on the open road. Word from Honda brass is that we won’t see a manual transmission in this model. However, we expect to see other performance and handling features in the future.
