Cargo Space & Interior Features: Honda HR-V vs. Mazda CX-3
Both of these SUVs are built with premium materials and offer a fantastic cabin experience. While the Mazda CX-3 features soft-touch features, it doesn’t offer the upscale features found in the new Honda HR-V. Inside the new Honda HR-V, drivers will enjoy a comfortable cabin complete with heated, leather-trimmed seats and a moonroof.
When it comes to comfort inside the vehicle’s cabin, the new Honda HR-V manages to outdo the new Mazda CX-3. Although both SUVs offer enough space for passengers, there is more room inside the 2022 Honda HR-V. The Mazda SUV is equipped with cloth-upholstered seats, while the new Honda SUV features leather upholstery.
As far as space, the new Honda HR-V offers more space in both the front and rear-rows, when compared to the new Mazda CX-3. When it comes to cargo space, the Honda HR-V reigns supreme. Expect up to 24.3 cubic feet of space in this subcompact SUV, while the Mazda SUV can only offer 17.8 cubic feet of space.
Performance: Honda HR-V vs. Mazda CX-3
When it comes to performance, both the new Honda HR-V and the new Mazda CX-3 are almost evenly matched. Featuring a 1.8-liter, inline four-cylinder engine, both of these SUVs can keep pace with each other, although the Honda HR-V might offer a slightly better fuel economy.
As far as fuel efficiency is concerned, the EPA estimates the Honda HR-V will achieve 34 mpg on the highway and 28 MPG in the city*, compared to the Mazda CX-3 estimate of 31 mpg combined.
