When it comes to performance, both the new Honda HR-V and the new Mazda CX-3 are almost evenly matched. Featuring a 1.8-liter, inline four-cylinder engine, both of these SUVs can keep pace with each other, although the Honda HR-V might offer a slightly better fuel economy.
As far as fuel efficiency is concerned, the EPA estimates the Honda HR-V will achieve 34 mpg on the highway and 28 MPG in the city*, compared to the Mazda CX-3 estimate of 31 mpg combined.
