RECEPTIONIST

Job Summary
The receptionist greets customers when they come into the dealership’s showroom, answers their questions and directs them to the appropriate staff member. The receptionist also answers all incoming calls, takes messages and transfers callers to the appropriate department. The receptionist should be familiar with vehicle models and personnel within the dealership, and be polite and professional in manner.

Responsibilities

  • Greeting the showroom customers and assisting them by providing the information needed or referring them to the correct staff member.
  • Operating the telephone switchboard by answering incoming calls, transferring callers to appropriate personnel, taking messages and using the paging system.
  • Documenting customers who come into the dealership, noting basic demographic information and contact information.
  • Performing general administrative duties, and maintain the lobby or reception area.

Qualifications
Customer service and administrative experience is highly preferred. Receptionists must be organized to keep track of all incoming calls and visitors and have good communication skills, as they are usually the first person a customer interacts with in a dealership.

SERVICE TECHNICIAN

Be a part of a winning team! We are looking to hire a technician tasked with repairing the most challenging and time-sensitive problems that vehicles have when they arrive at the service department. As with all positions within dealerships, technicians are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Conferring with customers or service advisors to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements.
  • Examining vehicles to determine wear and extent of damage or malfunctions.
  • Assisting the shop foreman/lead technician as well as assisting technicians with their skills, providing technical support when needed and monitoring performance and productivity.
  • Testing and adjusting repaired systems to meet manufacturers’ performance specifications.
  • Ensuring that the shop is in excellent condition with regard to cleanliness, safety, and equipment condition, and conducting periodic spot checks to maintain high-quality service.
  • Test-driving vehicles, and testing components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges and computerized diagnostic devices.

SERVICE ADVISOR

The service advisor works with customers to schedule service work and communicate any additional service needed. Service advisors also handle the administrative and customer relations aspects of service department operations.

A service advisor’s main job is to interpret customer concerns and comments for the technician, so that the technician will diagnose problems correctly. The advisor then translates the technician’s findings, which may be very complex, into language the customer will understand.

Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers, scheduling service appointments and receiving vehicle information.
  • Listening to requests of the service desired and clearly explaining information on the repair order.
  • Referring the technician to the customer and/or test-driving the vehicle to confirm source(s) of service repairs.
  • Estimating the cost and time needed to do the repair, taking into account the customer’s schedule.
  • Handling customer complaints and maintaining high customer satisfaction standards.
  • Periodically checking on the progress of the vehicle during servicing and contacting the customer when technicians discover additional problems; getting customer approval to do additional work and explaining the work performed and the charges being billed.

Service advisors must possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers, employees and vendors.

FINANCE MANAGER

Pacific Honda is looking for a Finance Manager to join this high-volume dealership. This individual must have great closing skills and very strong customer service. Only experienced professionals should apply and income opportunity is over $10K per month and top performers can make even higher commissions.

The Finance Manager sells new and used car buyers financing and insurance programs. F&I Managers also work with financial lenders to give fair interest rates to buyers and programs. As with all positions within a dealership, F&I managers are expected to uphold the highest ethical standards.

Position Summary:

  • Offering vehicle financing and insurance to customers and providing them with a thorough explanation of aftermarket products, vehicle service contracts, and a complete explanation of manufacturer and dealership service procedures and policies.
  • Processing financing and leasing deals accurately and securing approval through financial sources as well as the proper federal, state and corporate channels.
  • Understanding and complying with federal, state and local regulations that affect the new and used vehicle finance departments.
  • Creating and maintaining a program with the sales department that will ensure all new sales are referred to the F&I department.
  • Training and providing the sales team with information on finance and lease programs and the benefits of the dealership’s financing and extended service programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

NEW CAR LOT PORTER

Pacific Honda San Diego is looking for a New Car Lot Porter. Lot porters are responsible for confirming receipt of new cars delivered to the dealership and parking the cars on the lot in an orderly manner. May be asked to move vehicles around the dealership and coordinate service between departments.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Verifying serial numbers of incoming cars against invoices.
  • Inspecting cars for damage.
  • Checking for accessories listed on the invoice, such as spare tires and stereo equipment.
  • Recording description of damages and listing missing items on delivery receipt.
  • Parking new cars in the assigned area.
  • Maximizing the use of space and maintaining the dealership lot.
  • Washing new cars for delivery to customers
  • Keeping lot organized and presentable at all times

Job Requirements:

A lot porter must be highly organized and energetic with the ability to schedule a rolling inventory. The ideal candidate will have good customer service skills, will be outgoing and will be comfortable with people browsing the dealership’s vehicle lot.

A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required. Lot Porters must also be able to operate a standard shift and must be kind and courteous to customers at all times.

NEW CAR SALES ASSOCIATE

Pacific Honda San Diego is seeking self-motivated, highly energetic and positive individuals capable of maintaining the highest standards of customer satisfaction and service. As a Pacific Honda San Diego Sales Associate, you will sell new and pre-owned vehicles. The right candidate will be efficient, ambitious, organized and will strive to meet daily, weekly and monthly vehicle sales quotas.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining comprehensive and up to date knowledge of products and services offered for sale, while effectively presenting, demonstrating, and explaining features and benefits of appropriate vehicle and aftermarket products and services.
  • Establishing and fulfilling daily, weekly and monthly prospecting and sales goals, and utilizing time effectively.
  • Assisting customers who enter the dealership, answering their questions and helping them select a vehicle that is right for their needs.
  • Offering test drives to all prospects and following dealership procedure to obtain proper identification prior to test drive.
  • Keeping abreast of new products, features and accessories available, and translating their benefits to customers.
  • Referring closed deals to the finance and insurance (F&I) manager along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.).
  • Preparing sold vehicles for customer delivery prior to customer arrival, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork.
  • Introducing customers to service department personnel to emphasize the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available at the dealership.
  • Maintaining a buyer follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience is preferred, but we will train the right candidate.
  • Must be self-motivated with superior customer service skills.
  • Have excellent communication skills with an outgoing personality to be successful in speaking with many different types of customers.
  • A valid state sales & drivers license is required.
