Honda Special Features at Pacific Honda

Some of the special features of the past don't seem so special in hindsight. Remember when an in-dash tape deck or CD player was the bee's knees? While many new Honda cars include features like a security system or moonroof, even Bluetooth -- which once seemed the epitome of high-tech -- has become pedestrian. Luckily for the drivers served by Pacific Honda, the company has evolved with the times, and so have the many special features they offer.

Honda Special Features

Honda Sensing™ Suite: There's no substitute for defensive driving and paying close attention behind the wheel. However, that doesn't mean your Honda car can't lend a hand. Like many other car companies, the Honda brand has self-driving cars in the works. While we're waiting, some of that technology has trickled down to existing Honda cars. Honda Sensing™ combines active safety features like lane departure warning, lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, Road Departure Mitigation, Forward Collision Warning, and the Collision Mitigation Braking System™ to keep you safe and sound.

HondaLink Next Generation®: This advanced infotainment system now includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility on several models. Your music, your favorite applications, an SMS text function that reads your incoming texts to you, and Honda Satellite-Linked Navigation System™ are all included. That means no more bulky paper maps, no CDs gathering dust in the back seat, and getting around local traffic is a breeze.

2017 Honda Ridgeline: "Wait," you say. "That's a truck, not a feature." Right you are. But some of that truck's features deserve special mention. A chest built into the truck bed can be used to keep your tools safe, and can also double as a cooler when you tailgate. The best feature, however, has to be the new truck-bed audio system. If you buy an RTL-E or Black Edition trim of the 2017 Honda Ridgeline, you can use a wired or Bluetooth-enabled audio device up and turn the entire truck bed into a huge speaker system!

Choosing Honda Car Options

HondaLink is available as a standalone option across many trim levels. For some other features, it's worth comparison shopping among trim levels. The higher the trim level, the more of those features will be included as standard equipment (as is the case with the Honda Ridgeline Black Edition). That means laying out less money to add features. The other thing to remember is that option packages (like the Honda Sensing available on the 2017 Honda Accord) cost less as a bundle than they would if the company were to offer the components separately.

There's never been a better time to own a new Honda car, SUV, or truck. Recent years have seen the redesign of the Honda Accord and Honda Civic, the return of the Honda Ridgeline, and some highly innovative concept vehicles. Besides the cars' good looks, what's inside them makes them compelling. Honda offers technology that goes above and beyond the call of duty, and Pacific Honda offers sales and service to match from our showroom at 4761 Convoy St in San Diego, CA.
