"What makes the GX unique is it's environmental consciousness." -Edmunds.com

American Honda has figured out a convenient way for you to save time, money on gas and be friendlier to the environment, while driving one of the most popular vehicles in America. Honda has listened to the concerns of consumers, analyzed the needs of the environment and found the answers in the natural gas Civic GX.

Alternative fuel vehicles can be defined as vehicles that have as their primary fuel source something other than gasoline. Natural gas vehicles generally offer a 90% reduction in emissions at the tailpipe. The natural gas Civic GX is the world's cleanest internal combustion engine and entirely eliminates the use of gasoline. The alternative is "Phill" (by FuelMaker), a home refueling appliance that can fuel a Civic GX right in a person's garage. Phill is certified like any home natural gas appliance and allows convenient, economical access to natural gas fuel. It plugs into a 120-volt outlet, taps into a house, compresses the gas into the vehicle and fuels the vehicle overnight.

Aside from being so good to you and the environment, the Civic GX is also fun to drive, thanks to it's nimble handling, responsive 113-hp, 1.8-liter i-VTEC engine and a smooth-shifting 5-speed automatic transmission.

Most importantly, the natural gas Civic GX prepares our nation for and uncertain energy future. By offering a natural gas vehicle, Honda prepares to deal with an energy future that may need to have more than gasoline as transportation fuel. In the world of alternative fuel vehicles, there's one clear choice!

The Civic GX is now on sale in California at select Honda dealers and Pacific Honda happens to be one of them! For more information, contact Brad Johnson, Pacific Honda's Alternative Fuel Vehicle Manager, at 800.465.1303 or email bjohnson@pacifichonda.com.
