There are three trim levels of the 2017 Honda HR-V, each with the same powertrain. The 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder engine is paired your choice of a six-speed manual transmission or a CVT. If you don't opt for all-wheel drive, front-wheel drive is standard.
The Honda HR-V actually shares more in common with the Honda Fit than with its bigger brother, the Honda CR-V. Same platform, and the same forward-mounted fuel tank that maximizes the space in the cargo area. As a result, you get a maximum of 58.8 cubic feet in front-wheel drive configuration, or 57.6 cubic feet with all-wheel drive.
2017 Honda HR-V Safety and Special Features**
One advantage to the 2017 Honda HR-V is that many of its safety features, amenities, and convenience features are available on all trim levels. However, as with other new Honda cars, the upper trim levels do have their advantages.
